Iran proposes selling weapons through cryptocurrency
The Iranian government is proposing to sell military equipment and weapons to foreign countries through cryptocurrency in order to bypass financial restrictions imposed by Western countries. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The Financial Times reported on this. According to the information, Iran's proposal covers strategically important weapon systems such as ballistic missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, and military ships.

The Mindex Export Operations Center under the Iranian Ministry of Defense has expressed readiness to consider payments via cryptocurrency, as well as barter agreements or settlements in the national currency — the rial. The publication emphasizes that this initiative is considered one of the first open moves by Iran to officially accept cryptocurrency in military exports.

Mindex introduced itself as the organization responsible for Iran's foreign defense trade and announced that it is currently cooperating with 35 countries. Their product catalog includes Emad ballistic missiles, Shahed drones, "Shahed Soleymani" class military ships, and short-range air defense systems.

This initiative is expected to spark discussions within the international community.
