Trump: Operation on Venezuela successfully completed

US President Donald Trump announced his position on Venezuela at a press conference held in Palm Beach. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, the US plans to continue governing the country until the process of peaceful and fair transfer of power in Venezuela is carried out. This statement was reported by kursiv.uz.
Trump said that the special operation conducted in Venezuela was called “Midnight Hammer” and was successfully completed. He claimed that the country's president, Nicolas Maduro, was captured during a power outage in Caracas.
Additionally, Trump accused Maduro of several serious charges. According to him, Maduro led a cartel involved in drug trafficking and illegally appropriated US-owned oil infrastructure.
Trump emphasized that major US oil companies are planned to be involved in restoring Venezuela's devastated oil industry. He stated that multi-billion dollar investments will be made and these projects are expected to bring economic benefits to the US.
Furthermore, Trump noted that the US will not stay in Venezuela for a long time, and this depends on how quickly the power transfer process in the country is completed. Trump also expressed his opinion about one of the leaders of the Venezuelan opposition, Cristina Maria Machado.
He stressed that Machado cannot be a leader for Venezuela and lacks leadership abilities. In addition, Trump called Cuba a “suffering country” and said that the US is ready to assist this country.
According to him, issues related to Cuba may become an important topic of negotiations in the future.
