Based on the order of US President Donald Trump, a military operation began in Venezuela. Trump confirmed on his social media page that strikes were carried out on Venezuelan facilities and that President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were captured.
US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau stated that Maduro's regime has been terminated and that he will be prosecuted for his crimes. The Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused the US of violating international law and requested the UN Security Council to take measures.
The US emphasized that the narcotics trafficking threat through Venezuela has increased and that this situation poses a threat to US security, accusing Maduro of corruption and involvement in drug trafficking. Analysts from Uzbekistan and social media users are evaluating Trump's military actions in Venezuela as contrary to international law.
Analyst Farhod Karimov sharply criticized this, emphasizing that the kidnapping of a head of state is illogical. He noted that Trump's action works against US interests.
Otabek Akromov highlighted that world countries continue to demonstrate their power and questioned the possibility of China attacking Taiwan. Muxtor Nazirov assessed these actions as a strategy aimed at changing political power in Venezuela.
Muhrim A’zamxo‘jayev expressed a sorrowful opinion about the policy of using force, suggesting that after Venezuela, Iran might be targeted. Additionally, Muhammadqodir Sobirov proposed linking Trump's actions to symbolic events, while Botir Qobilov criticized the bombings on the Venezuelan coasts and the violations of human rights.
The Telegram channel "Strategic Focus: Atlantic" reported that as a result of these actions, 16 percent of the world's oil has come under US control. It is worth recalling that Nicolas Maduro has been serving as Venezuela's president since 2013.
In July 2024, he announced his victory in the presidential election again, which caused dissatisfaction in the international community.
The US announced a $50 million reward for Maduro's capture. There are opinions that Trump's military actions may further complicate global politics and lead to new geopolitical conflicts.
