The epicenter of the earthquake was located 477 km southeast of Tashkent, in the mountainous Badakhshan region. The magnitude of the earthquake was 5.3, and the depth of the tremor was 139 kilometers.
The geographic coordinates of the epicenter were 38.39 degrees north latitude and 73.37 degrees east longitude. According to experts, this earthquake was also felt in some regions of Uzbekistan.
In particular: - In the Fergana region, the intensity of the tremor was 2–3 points (approximately 260 km away); - In the Andijan region, 2 points (285 km away); - In the Namangan region, 2 points were also recorded (325 km away). It should be noted that earlier, an earthquake that occurred in the territory of Kyrgyzstan was also reported to have been felt in some regions of Uzbekistan.
