Iran arrested a person suspected of espionage

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard's intelligence division announced that it has detained a foreign individual suspected of spying for Israel. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The semi-official "Tasnim" news agency reported this. Protests have been ongoing in the country since December 28.
Initially sparked by economic problems, particularly rising inflation, these protests later took on a political character. Protesters are demanding an end to clerical rule.
Iranian officials accuse the US and Israel of instigating unrest in the country. So far, the government has not provided additional information, and investigations are ongoing.
These events highlight the fragility of Iran's internal political situation and the growing public discontent. As the protests continue, tensions between officials and the public are likely to intensify.
