The US dealt a major blow to ISIS in Syria
The US Central Command announced on January 11 that airstrikes were carried out against targets belonging to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) group in Syria. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

These attacks were conducted as part of the "Eagle Strike" operation, organized in response to the killing of US military personnel and an interpreter. According to official information, more than 35 ISIS targets were destroyed during the strikes.

Over 90 precision-guided munitions were used during the operation. Additionally, more than 20 military aircraft, including F-15E, A-10, AC-130J, and MQ-9 drones, were involved.

The incident that triggered the attacks occurred on December 13, 2025. On that day, an ISIS militant shot and killed two US military personnel and one interpreter in Syria, injuring three other military personnel.

US officials classified this event as a terrorist attack. The US side emphasized that such actions are carried out to ensure the safety of military personnel and as part of the fight against terrorism.

Meanwhile, the international community continues to closely monitor the situation in Syria.
