Joe Biden sharply criticized Donald Trump's policy towards Ukraine
Joe Biden, in an interview with the BBC, sharply criticized Donald Trump's policy towards Ukraine. He referred to Trump's proposal to achieve peace by granting territorial concessions to Ukraine as "modern appeasement." According to Biden, such approaches will not stop Vladimir Putin but will rather strengthen his aggression.

Biden compared Trump's administration's attempts to pressure Ukraine into ceding territories to Russia with Britain's "appeasement" policy towards Adolf Hitler in the 1930s. He believes that such policies do not stop dictators but rather embolden them.

"I don't understand why people think they can hand over land that doesn't belong to a dictator, a thug, and that this will satisfy him," said the politician.

Biden also assessed Trump's meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as "un-American." He emphasized that during this meeting, Trump and his administration pressured Ukraine.

Biden criticized Trump's calls to regain control over the Panama Canal, acquire Greenland, and make Canada the 51st state. He deemed such statements contrary to American values.

"What is happening? Which president has said this? We are supporters of freedom, democracy, opportunity, not confiscation," said the politician, highlighting that the current administration's actions do not reflect American values.

Biden emphasized that such policies of Trump's administration undermine the United States' credibility in Europe and weaken its leadership role in the world. He pointed out the risks of NATO's weakening and the U.S. retreating from global leadership.

Biden also defended his decision not to run for re-election in 2024 and expressed support for Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party's nominee. He believes this decision is right for the future of the party.

Biden's statements indicate his sharp criticism of Trump's administration's foreign policy and his commitment to defending U.S. democratic values.
