The President of Iran addressed Americans in an open letter
Iranian President Masʼud Pizishkiyon is writing an open letter to Americans. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In it, he calls on Americans to look beyond the stream of distorted, artificially created stories. According to Pizishkiyon, the question arises whether Washington's policy truly acts according to the principle of "America First," and there is doubt in this regard.
Additionally, Pizishkiyon emphasized that the US is ready to fight "until the last American soldier remains," and stated that Israel may act as a proxy. The letter was published on the Press TV website on the evening of April 1.
According to him, Iran has never chosen the path of aggression, expansion, or domination, acting only in self-defense. Seeing Iran as a threat is the result of political and economic interests.
He also specifically stressed that Iranians are not hostile towards the peoples of other countries, including Americans. In the letter, the president places responsibility for the escalation of the war on the US and Israel, evaluating the latter strikes as acts of aggression and war crimes against civilians.
Pizishkiyon expresses doubt about what benefits the war brings to Americans and poses the question, "Which interests of the American people does this war serve?" According to him, the world is now at a crossroads of confrontation and interaction, and this choice will determine the future of generations.
Iran expert Nikita Smagin, in an interview with The Insider, emphasized that decisions regarding war and peace in Iran are made not by one person but collectively by the military-political bloc. According to him, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps plays a key role, while other military structures are significantly independent.
Smagin also said that although Masʼud Pizishkiyon is a more moderate figure, he does not have real influence and performs more of a decorative function. There is no reliable information about the role and status of Khomeini's son, Mujtaba Khomeini.
