Uzbekistan engineers evaluate Russian roads
On May 7, 2025, an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the development of urban transport systems and road infrastructure will be held in Saratov, Russia, as reported by upl.uz.

The conference will take place at the Museum of Glory of Combat and Labor located in the Victory Park, initiated by the Ministry of Road Economy of Saratov Region. Road specialists from Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan will participate. They are taking part in an international rally dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in World War II.

The rally route covers the cities of Brest, Minsk, Polotsk, Pskov, Saint Petersburg, Tver, Moscow, Tula, Ryazan, Tambov, Saratov, and Volgograd. Participants are assessing the condition of the roads along the way. They are expected to arrive in Saratov on May 6.

Renowned specialists will participate in the conference. Among them are Academician Buri Karimov from the International and Russian Transport Academy, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS Transport Assembly Sergey Andreev, Chairman of the NTC of the Committee for the Development of Public Transport in Russia Vadim Donchenko, Secretary of this committee Andrey Shestopalov, Development Director of the "Transport Systems" company Denis Frolov, and Vice President of the International Association of Urban Electric Transport Alexander Morozov.

The event will also involve the government of Saratov region, local scientists, and leaders of transport organizations.

The following issues will be discussed at the conference:
. The condition of international highways in CIS countries
. Modern methods of diagnosing roads and bridges
. Problems and prospects for the development of road economy in Saratov region
. Experience of using measurement systems in large cities
. Technologies for improving road quality and traffic safety

As part of the conference, participants will visit the memorial complex located in Victory Park and lay flowers at the Eternal Flame. This is part of a ceremony dedicated to the memory of World War II.

In 2024, over 300 kilometers of roads in Saratov region were repaired using modern diagnostic technologies.
