Resignation of Qamchibek Tashiyev: A new era begins in Kyrgyzstan
Significant changes are taking place in Kyrgyzstan's politics. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

One of the country's prominent political figures, head of the State Committee for National Security Qamchibek Tashiyev, has resigned from his position. By decree of President Sadir Japarov, not only Tashiyev but also his three deputies were dismissed.

This decision signals the beginning of a new era in the political processes in Kyrgyzstan. It has been reported that Tashiyev is currently undergoing treatment in Munich, Germany.

He is said to be receiving planned treatment due to heart problems. It is worth recalling that he underwent a complex surgical operation in Germany in 2021 as well.

Interestingly, he learned about the resignation news while in Munich. This was informed to him by close sources.

President Sadir Japarov explained this decision as being in the interests of the country. He emphasized preventing division within state institutions and maintaining unity in society as the main goals.

General Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov was nominated to replace Tashiyev. Additionally, personnel changes were made in the Security Council.

Qamchibek Tashiyev has held important positions throughout his long political career. Born in 1968 in Jalal-Abad, this figure has traveled the path from engineering to politics.

He worked in the government apparatus in the 2000s and gained attention in 2012 for his activities related to the "Kumtor" project. He was known as one of Sadir Japarov's closest associates during the October 2020 events.

In 2022, he was awarded the title Hero of Kyrgyzstan. Analysts do not consider Tashiyev's resignation a simple event.

Many evaluate this political move as preparation for the upcoming presidential elections ahead of schedule. The possibility of Tashiyev running for president has become one of the main topics in Kyrgyzstan's politics.

Is this decision a temporary tactic or the result of long-term plans? The near future will show.
