The United Kingdom will send 1000 missiles to Ukraine

Great Britain will send an additional 1000 missiles and air defense equipment worth over 500 million pounds sterling to Ukraine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This aid is intended to strengthen protection against Russia's strikes on energy infrastructure and residential areas. The main part of the new aid package is directed towards air defense, with 150 million pounds allocated under the PURL program.
This program includes purchasing necessary air defense equipment from the United States in cooperation with NATO. Additionally, the package includes 1000 lightweight multi-purpose missiles manufactured in Belfast, for which 390 million pounds are allocated.
This aid is not a one-time symbolic gesture but a large-scale project aimed at protecting Ukraine from aerial attacks. Furthermore, Great Britain announced that it will deliver another 1200 air defense missiles and 200,000 artillery rounds to Ukraine in the coming months.
This assistance is planned to meet "current needs" and "maintain future defense capabilities." On February 12, the 33rd meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group took place at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
Representatives from Great Britain, Germany, and other countries participated. The meeting discussed the future plan for military aid to Ukraine, the situation on the front lines, and existing needs.
It was noted that new commitments and financial assistance from NATO and other organizations would be adopted. In conclusion, during the harsh winter conditions, air defense is seen not only as protection for Ukraine but as a vital necessity.
The decisions made in London and Brussels aim to continue aid not at the level of political statements but based on clear plans and calculations. At the same time, Europe is putting the issue of playing a more active role in its own security on the agenda.
