China is changing its position on the conflict in Ukraine

Bloomberg agency reported that China is changing its position regarding the conflict in Ukraine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to information released on February 14, China previously expressed concern about the economic consequences of the conflict, but now approaches the issue differently. The agency notes that this may also be due to European countries focusing on Ukraine and partially distancing themselves from Asia.
According to Bloomberg, Chinese President Xi Jinping held a quite confident position in supporting Russia in the conflict in Ukraine. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi once again emphasized that China is not a direct participant in the Ukrainian crisis.
At the same time, he stated that China supports the peace process. While Western leaders are making efforts to improve relations with China, Wang Yi called on the European side to present their ideas and plans regarding the conflict in Ukraine.
He stressed the necessity to eliminate the main causes of the conflict and to ensure peace and stability in Europe. Additionally, Matthew Whitaker, the US permanent representative to NATO, said that China could play an important role in ending the conflict.
This has led to various opinions within the international community regarding China's influence on the situation in Ukraine.
