Emergency delay caused the death of a 97-year-old woman

Babett Berdj, a 97-year-old woman living in Newport, United Kingdom, died due to a delay in emergency medical assistance, reported *Daily Mail*. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It was revealed that the elderly woman was found lying on the floor in her home. It was noted that she had difficulty breathing and passed away several hours later.
According to the forensic medical examination, pneumonia was the primary cause of her death. Additionally, a fractured left thigh bone and prolonged immobility were identified as contributing factors.
Experts noted signs indicating impaired blood circulation in the deceased's body. This condition usually occurs as a result of cold exposure or extended periods of immobility.
Prior to the incident, a local clinic paramedic examined Babett Berdj and noted the possibility of a fractured thigh bone. However, urgent hospitalization was not carried out, and it was planned to take her to the hospital after 10 days.
During this time, the woman remained at home and is reported to have fallen again. An official investigation into the case is currently underway.
