In Issyk-Kul, a mother committed suicide due to her daughter's pregnancy
Yesterday, in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan, in the Ok-Suu district, a 41-year-old woman took her own life after struggling to accept that her daughter was pregnant. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Local internal affairs authorities provided information about this incident. According to the data, on February 25, the district internal affairs department received a report about a girl born in 2009 who was 16 weeks pregnant.

An initial investigation was conducted regarding the case, and the girl was summoned for questioning. The mother, however, considered the situation defamatory and refused to participate in the investigation process.

At around 9:00 PM that same day, the woman left her home, poured gasoline on herself, and set herself on fire. She was taken to the hospital with severe burn injuries but died despite all the doctors' efforts.

A forensic medical examination has been ordered regarding this incident. Additionally, investigative work is ongoing to clarify all aspects of the case.
