Iran's cheap drones are putting pressure on US defense

The US spends approximately 3 million dollars on destroying each Shahed-136 drone. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At the same time, Iran produces up to 500 such devices daily and has a stockpile of over 80,000. This was revealed by Professor Xian Xueshin from Peking University.
According to Bloomberg reports, Shahed-type suicide drones have previously been effective. They have destroyed Patriot air defense systems worth 4 million dollars.
This demonstrates Iran's strategy of applying serious pressure on defense systems with cheap but mass-produced drones. Experts believe that countries like the US require not only significant financial but also technological expenses and resources to respond to such drone threats.
Therefore, each destroyed drone is costly not only materially but also strategically. This situation is an important signal for the global military balance and air defense development plans.
