Iran frigate sank in the Indian Ocean: US involvement confirmed
Armed clashes ongoing in the Middle East are now intensifying not only on land but also in the open oceans. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The latest incident in the Indian Ocean was a major loss for the Iranian naval forces. On the fifth day of the US and Israel's military operation against Iran, the IRIS Dena frigate, a pride of Iran, sank off the coast of Sri Lanka.

US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced this event at a special briefing. According to him, an American submarine precisely targeted and sank the Iranian frigate.

The Pentagon chief emphasized that the Iranian fleet has lost its combat capability. One of Iran's valuable projects — the missile catamaran named in honor of General Qasem Soleimani — was also struck.

The Sri Lankan naval forces are conducting rescue operations at the scene. According to the latest information, 87 people have died, and 32 sailors have been rescued.

It is reported that there were a total of 180 people on board the ship. The attacks by the US and Israel are aimed at destroying Iran's nuclear program.

The death toll inside Iran has reached 787. Tehran has carried out missile attacks on US bases in Israel and the Persian Gulf.

Iranian officials emphasize that they are fighting not with their Arab neighbors, but specifically with American military facilities. These events could completely change the balance of power in the region.
