Military serviceman attempted suicide in Osh region

A serious incident occurred in the Osh region of Kyrgyzstan. Zamin.uz reported this.
On April 7th of this year, reports spread that a twenty-two-year-old serviceman serving at the Irkeshtam border post attempted to commit suicide. This situation caused great concern among the public and was immediately taken under control by the relevant authorities.
According to information, the soldier, who was serving on a contract basis, sustained a gunshot wound to the head. He was initially taken to a medical point in Nura village, but due to his critical condition, he was urgently transferred to the Gulcha hospital in the district center.
Doctors stated that all measures are being taken to save the patient's life. A group of experienced specialists from Osh city performed complex brain surgery on the serviceman.
According to initial medical observations, the bullet hit the jaw area and damaged important blood vessels around the eye. Currently, the victim is in critical condition and remains in a coma.
He is connected to a ventilator, and specialists assess his condition as unstable. Law enforcement agencies and the military prosecutor's office have launched an investigation into this unfortunate incident.
According to the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan, the serviceman used his assigned AK-74 assault rifle. Currently, the causes of the incident, the atmosphere in service, and other factors are being thoroughly studied.
