As soon as the Easter truce was announced, the parties violated it

Despite the official entry into force of the announced Easter truce between Ukraine and Russia, reports have emerged that it was violated as soon as it began. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This temporary agreement was planned to remain in effect until the evening of April 12. Initially, this initiative was introduced with the aim of slightly easing the situation in war zones and providing a short-term period of peace for the civilian population.
However, shortly thereafter, the parties came forward with mutual accusations. According to Ukrainian media reports, Russian military forces launched an attack on the city of Kharkiv.
In turn, the Russian side claims that Ukrainian troops struck the Novaya Kakhovka area. Thus, both sides continue to accuse each other, stating that the terms of the truce have been violated.
This situation clearly demonstrates that the short-term peace initiative has proven ineffective in practice. According to political analysts, the current situation is evidence of the extremely low level of trust between the two countries.
It has once again become evident how difficult it is to adhere to a truce while military operations continue with intensity. Although no official assessment of these events has been given so far, tension in the region persists.
The future fate of the Easter truce remains unknown for now, and the next steps taken by the parties are expected to further clarify the situation. For the civilian population in the war zone, the failure of such temporary agreements leads to even more severe consequences.
