Guyana has achieved full food independence in the world

The issue of food security is becoming increasingly important on a global scale. Zamin.uz reported on this.
Today, while many countries are striving to take measures to achieve self-sufficiency, the achievements of some nations deserve special attention. Analyses conducted by experts show that Guyana is considered the only state in the world to have achieved full independence across all major food groups.
This country can fully satisfy its internal needs for seven main product groups. This list includes meat, dairy products, fish, starchy products, legumes, nuts, as well as fruits and vegetables.
Guyana has become one of the few states that is nearly independent of external imports in these areas, providing for itself. This result indicates that the agricultural system in the country is properly organized, natural resources are being used appropriately, and internal production is developing stably.
Uzbekistan is also achieving significant results in this direction. According to available data, our country has reached a level where it can provide for itself in five main food groups.
This confirms that the national agricultural potential is high and production capacities are increasing. According to experts, achieving food independence not only ensures economic stability but is also one of the most important factors of national security.
Therefore, many countries around the world are paying special attention to implementing reforms and attracting investments in this field. Ensuring food security remains a strategic goal for any state.
