Iran demands that the US and Israel be held internationally accountable

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is demanding that the United States and Israel be held internationally accountable for actions carried out against the country's leadership. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was announced by the ministry's official spokesperson, Ismoil Baqoiy. He emphasized that Iran considers this issue not only as its own internal political position but as an important demand for the entire international community.
According to Baqoiy, the actions of the United States and Israel should be evaluated as a serious crime against international peace and security. The official spokesperson referred to these events as war crimes and crimes against humanity, specifically noting that norms of international law were grossly violated.
Additionally, citing the first article of the Geneva Convention, he reminded that all states have an obligation to respect and ensure compliance with international humanitarian law. In his view, when these rules are violated, holding the perpetrators accountable is a common duty of all United Nations member states.
Ismoil Baqoiy noted that the actions committed by the United States and Israel contradict international principles and urged UN members to call for these countries to be held accountable. According to Iran's position, this issue will remain a permanent political and legal demand, and the country seeks to punish those responsible through its internal system and international law mechanisms.
According to reports, military operations began in late February, targeting various sites within Iranian territory and the capital city of Tehran. It is said that serious losses were recorded among the Iranian leadership during this period.
It was reported that a number of high-ranking representatives of the armed forces and political structures were killed as a result of the conflict. These events have further increased tensions in the Middle East region.
