Kongoda Ebola sababli aviaqatnovlar bekor qilindi va qurbonlar ko'paydi

The epidemiological situation related to the Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is worsening, Zamin.uz reported.
According to the latest data from Bloomberg, some international and domestic flights have been canceled due to the rapid spread of the disease, a measure taken to prevent the virus from spreading to other regions.
According to reports from local government officials and African health organizations, as of Friday, the number of people infected with the virus has reached 867. Tragically, the death toll from this frightening illness currently stands at 204 people.
Experts say the epicenter of the outbreak is in Ituri Province, which borders Uganda. The situation is becoming increasingly alarming because only a small fraction of the 1,745 people who had direct contact with infected patients are under medical observation.
The whereabouts and health status of the remaining citizens remain unknown. Health sector specialists emphasize that there is currently no officially approved vaccine or specific effective treatment against this strain of the Ebola virus.
Moreover, medical workers in the region are complaining that even basic personal protective equipment is lacking during their work, putting their lives at serious risk.
Due to insufficient control systems at border areas, warnings have been issued that the Ebola virus could quickly spread to neighboring countries, especially Uganda and South Sudan. International organizations are urging urgent action to prevent a humanitarian and medical catastrophe in the region.
Efforts are underway to contain the outbreak and conduct awareness campaigns among the population, but insufficient resources remain a major obstacle.
