Starlink satellite internet has officially launched in Kyrgyzstan

Starlink satellite internet service, owned by SpaceX, has now officially begun its operations in Kyrgyzstan. Zamin.uz reported this.
On the interactive map published on the company's official website, the country has been added to the list of regions where the service is available. This news is considered an important step in the development of information technology and digital communication tools in the region.
The government of Kyrgyzstan aims to make effective use of the opportunities provided by this project. According to the plan, high-speed internet will first be provided to social sector facilities in mountainous and remote areas that are difficult to access.
Schools, hospitals, and government agencies are expected to be covered. Additionally, this system will become a unique and convenient solution for settlements where internet infrastructure has not yet reached.
Kazakhstan led the way in implementing Starlink services in the Central Asian region. Subsequently, the system was also launched in Tajikistan.
Now, Kyrgyzstan has also joined the ranks of countries using a modern satellite-based communication network. Such technologies serve to reduce the digital divide in the region and expand the population's access to information.
The issue of introducing satellite internet is also on the agenda in Uzbekistan. In a previous statement, the head of the government, Abdulla Aripov, noted that the Starlink system is planned to be launched on a trial basis in our country in 2026.
Currently, necessary preparations and the creation of legal frameworks are being carried out in this direction. In the future, the implementation of this project will enable quality communication even in the most remote villages of Uzbekistan.
