US and Iran are nearing an agreement on the Strait of Hormuz

Reports are circulating that Washington and Tehran have reached a conditional agreement on the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Despite this, a formal deal between the parties has not yet been fully signed, and negotiations on a number of important issues are ongoing. According to reports from prestigious publications, the main part of the agreement text—approximately ninety-five percent—has been finalized.
However, issues regarding Iran's nuclear program and the establishment of control over the strategically important Strait of Hormuz remain at the center of discussions. The Strait of Hormuz is an extremely critical point for the global energy market.
A significant portion of oil and gas supplies worldwide is carried out specifically through this route. Therefore, any tension in this region could seriously affect not only regional security but also prices in the international market and general economic stability.
Some technical delays are being observed during the negotiation process, which is slightly slowing down the final stage of political decisions. The US leadership has instructed negotiators not to rush the agreement and to thoroughly develop every clause.
Official Washington states that the naval blockade imposed on Iran will remain in effect until the memorandum is fully signed. This situation indicates that the US side is approaching the negotiations with caution and wishes to account for all risks in advance.
At the same time, the condition of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons remains the most delicate and decisive part of the agreement. For the Iranian side, the issue of the Strait of Hormuz is not only an economic interest but is also linked to national security and political influence in the region.
Therefore, Tehran is striving to protect its strategic interests. The fact that dialogues are currently continuing indicates that there is a possibility of reaching an agreement.
However, until the documents are officially confirmed, it is difficult to call the situation fully stable. This is because every decision related to this region carries immense significance in the global geopolitical arena.
