Zelenskyy appealed to Trump to strengthen Ukraine's air defense

Against the backdrop of ongoing intense and complex political processes in Ukraine, the next important appeal has attracted the attention of the international community. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sent an official letter to the new leader of the White House, Donald Trump and members of the United States Congress. In the appeal, Donald Trump, and to members of the United States Congress. In this appeal, the head of state openly stated the serious and dangerous problems encountered in protecting the country's airspace.
According to information published by Kyiv Independent, the text of this letter was first announced to the press by Barak Ravid, a journalist of the Axios news agency. Zelenskyy particularly emphasized in his letter that today Ukraine's air defense systems are in extremely high need of protection from air attacks.
The Ukrainian leader outlined the real state of affairs, clearly indicating the achievements of the military and weak points at the present moment. According to his words, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have gained great experience and skill in shooting down enemy unmanned aerial vehicles and protecting themselves from them.
However, the country currently does not have the opportunity to independently produce its own anti-missile defense systems. Zelenskyy acknowledged his appeal to international partners on anti-missile defense issues, but noted that in protection from ballistic missiles, he is almost entirely reliant on the United States.
He highly appreciated the importance of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems provided by the United States. According to his emphasis, these systems are the only and most effective shield capable of destroying any type of Russian missiles, even the most modern ballistic ones, in the air.
The current rates of arms deliveries were sharply criticized. In Zelenskyy's opinion, the speed of supplies in practice is too slow and insufficient in the face of the terrible air threats that Ukraine is experiencing.
At the same time, concerns are being expressed about possible disruptions in the arms supply chain due to armed conflicts in the Middle East. According to the Financial Times publication, the US administration has called on European countries to be cautious regarding the volume and timing of military aid sent to Ukraine.
