Suriyada Idlibda O'zbekistonli jangari o'ldirildi

An Uzbek fighter was killed in Syria's Idlib province, Zamin.uz reported.
According to local sources, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported the incident, which occurred in the Al-Fua district.
Unknown individuals opened fire on the vehicle in which the Uzbek fighter was traveling. As a result of the armed attack, he was killed at the scene.
Meanwhile, relevant authorities are conducting an investigation and taking measures regarding the incident. It remains officially unclear who carried out the attack and what the motives were.
According to sources, the deceased fighter was part of the Red Detachments within Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, an active group in Syria. It should be noted that in late November 2024, armed insurgents, primarily fighters from Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, launched a large-scale military offensive in northern Syria.
In a short time, they took control of Idlib province, the city of Aleppo, and several areas in the Hama and Homs provinces. Later, they also entered the capital, Damascus.
Following these events, it became known that the family of Syria's former president, Bashar al-Assad, had fled to Russia. In 2025, Ahmad al-Shara'a, the leader of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, was declared the country's transitional president.
Throughout this year, Syrian security forces have conducted several special raids against foreign fighters in and around Idlib city, including Uzbek nationals. Notably, in June 2025, Ayyub, a military instructor known by the alias Abu Dujon al-Uzbeki, was detained by security forces.
After his arrest, it was reported that he was taken to an unknown location. Additionally, in late August, another special operation in the Al-Qusur district resulted in the detention of another Uzbek fighter known by the alias Islam al-Uzbeki.
According to sources, the operation was carried out after obtaining precise information about his location. Furthermore, on September 3, Syrian security forces conducted an operation to dismantle an Islamic State cell in the Haram district, located in the western part of Idlib province.
During the operation, fighters from Iraq and Uzbekistan were among those detained. The latest incident once again highlights that the security situation in northern Syria, involving armed groups and foreign fighters, remains complex.
At the same time, investigative actions regarding the killing of the Uzbek fighter are ongoing.
