Taker Karlson opened up about his views on Islam
American journalist Tucker Carlson admitted that his long-held views about Islam and Muslims were wrong, Zamin.uz reported.

In an interview with Sky News, he said that the opinions he had expressed for years did not correspond to reality, as reported by Newsweek.

According to Carlson, he had portrayed Islam as a threat on television and sincerely believed in what he was saying. He stated: "I have said many times on television: the problem is Islam, the problem is Muslims.

They all want to kill us. They are out of their minds.

They adhere to a creed created by Muhammad in the seventh century. And I believed in that too." Carlson emphasized that he now considers those views completely wrong.

"I was under a delusion, because I truly believed in it.

Now I know that none of those beliefs are true. But I did believe in them at the time," the journalist added.

During the conversation, Carlson also said his attitude toward Israel had changed significantly. According to him, there is a major difference between the Israel he saw several decades ago and the country today.

"Israel has completely changed. I am warming up to Israel.

But there is no resemblance left between the Israel I first visited decades ago and the Israel of today," he said. The journalist's critical stance toward Israeli policy has intensified in recent years,

which has also led to increased accusations of antisemitism against him. However, Carlson has firmly rejected these allegations.

The Anti-Defamation League named him one of the most influential figures who has brought antisemitic views and conspiracy theories into the mainstream public discourse. In October 2025, Carlson invited Nick Fuentes, who promotes nationalist ideas, onto his show.

During the interview, Fuentes blamed Jews for many of the world's problems. In April 2026, Carlson also engaged in a discussion on the same topic with BBC host Victoria Derbyshire.

As the journalist emphasized, his criticism of the Israeli government's policies is not related to ethnicity or religion.

"Of course, I am not an antisemite.

That is why I say this. My attitude toward Israel has nothing to do with the nationality or religion of Israelis.

It is solely about my opposition to Israeli government decisions that harm the interests of my own country," Carlson stated.
