The painting found on the street turned out to be a rare work of art

A resident of Seville, Spain, found what he thought was a discarded object by the roadside, only to discover it was a rare masterpiece of world fine art, Zamin.uz reports.
57-year-old Andres Urtado was walking down the street when his eye caught a painting. According to him, the intricately crafted frame drew more attention than the artwork itself.
He decided to take the find home. Later, it became known that this artwork had belonged to one of Seville’s affluent families for many years.
Members of this family had a habit of taking their valuable possessions with them on every trip. Before their next journey, they planned to place the painting in the car’s trunk.
However, due to haste and inattention, they left the artwork on a roadside fence and forgot it there. After some time passed, they noticed the item was missing, but their search efforts proved futile.
Andres Urtado, curious about the true value of the painting he had found, first examined it using modern technology and artificial intelligence. When a specialized app indicated a very high price for the piece, he contacted one of Madrid’s influential auction houses to seek expert appraisal.
After thorough investigation by specialists, it was confirmed that the painting was a valuable work by the renowned Spanish artist Joaquín Sorolla.
Upon hearing news that the original owners were searching for the artwork, Andres did not remain indifferent.
He immediately called the police and informed them that he had found the painting by the roadside. The law-abiding citizen expressed his readiness to return the valuable find to its rightful owners without any compensation.
Not long after, this rare artwork, long thought lost, was returned to its true owners. The event sparked significant interest not only among art historians but also within the broader public.
