This has been reported by international media, particularly The Independent. Vangchuk is supporting youth who protested against the large-scale leak of exam questions that occurred in May this year.

The incident negatively affected the futures of hundreds of thousands of students and intensified public discontent with the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The protest is being organized by a group called the Youth for Accountability Party, founded by thirty-year-old Abhijit Dipke.

The movement spread rapidly on social media, especially Instagram, and within a short time gathered over twenty-two million viewers.

Currently, fifty-nine-year-old Sonam Vangchuk continues his hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

According to witnesses and news agencies, he has become physically extremely weak, to the point of being unable to speak. It is reported that he has lost about nine kilograms since the start of the strike.
