Zelensky declared Russian airspace dangerous for civil aviation

Zelensky stated that due to the sharp increase in the number of drones in the Russian sky, this area is de facto closed for flights. The Ukrainian leader warned the international community in his statement, emphasizing that every airline and insurer operating in Russian airspace must take the level of risk into account.

Zelensky noted that Ukrainian civil aviation poses no threat to anyone, but the Russian government is de facto closing its own sky as a result of the war it started. In his view, safe minutes in the Russian sky have ended, and since a threat has been posed to the lives of innocent people, it was necessary to urgently warn partners.
