Russian transport services have been placed on heightened alert in the face of threats emerging from Ukraine. One.uz reports.

Nikitin, the head of the Ministry of Transport, stated that all threats declared by Kyiv are being taken into account, and that the requirements for airport security and flight safety are being systematically improved. He emphasized that there is a specific response to each threat and that actions are being taken in accordance with any risk posed by terrorists.

Therefore, a special coordination mechanism with military structures has been established to ensure the stable operation of the transport system. It was emphasized that interdepartmental communication, the stability of traffic, and air space control are of value within this mechanism.

The Ministry of Transport is working in close cooperation with the Russian Ministry of Defense and Rosgvardia, including strengthening the integration of air defense and radio-electronic warfare means around airports. Recently, cases of flight delays have been frequently observed due to the temporary introduction of the “Covior” regime at airports in major Russian cities caused by drone attacks.

Kyiv’s rhetoric about completely halting Russian air traffic has turned the issue of transport safety into one of the most critical points of contention between the two states. Can Russian transport and defense systems fully protect civil aviation through enhanced security measures, or will Kyiv’s pressure cause a serious crisis in the flight system?

This question currently holds a significant place for the stability and safety of global aviation.
