Xiaomi SU7 faced a strong YTH: who is to blame?

The Xiaomi SU7 electric car reportedly veered into oncoming traffic due to road repairs on March 29 and crashed into a concrete barrier at a speed of 116 km/h, according to cenyavto.com.

According to reports, the driver was not the car owner, but another driver. Initially, the autopilot was engaged, but control later switched to a human. Nevertheless, there was no possibility to avoid the collision, and the car caught fire.

The automatic system detected the barrier, applied the brakes, and warned the driver: “grab the wheel!”. The driver took the wheel but crashed at a speed of 97 km/h.

An official investigation is currently underway, and Xiaomi stated that it will assist the families of the victims.
