How much profit do dealers make in the car market?
In Uzbekistan, new cars are going to a number of resellers as soon as they leave the showroom. They are making a profit of between 750 and 1500 dollars on each car.
If these profits were formalized with taxes – taking into account 12% VAT and 15% profit tax, the state budget would have received more than 20 million dollars in additional revenue annually.
UzAuto Motors is also suffering from this process. Instead of raising prices and releasing cars for free sale, the company is being forced to secretly increase prices by "restyling" the Cobalt model.
For this reason, a large profit is going to resellers, while ordinary buyers are forced to purchase cars in the car market and pay additional documentation costs.
