
Mercedes-Benz Group announced its financial report for the first quarter of 2025, according to auto.mail.ru. The company's net profit amounted to 1.73 billion euros, which is a 43 percent decrease compared to last year. Revenue also fell by 7.4%, totaling 33.22 billion euros.
According to a FactSet survey, analysts had expected a profit of 2.03 billion euros and revenue of 35 billion euros.
The company stated that due to high market volatility, especially uncertainties regarding import duties, it is impossible to accurately forecast its financial situation until the end of the year.
As part of cost-cutting measures, Mercedes-Benz is offering administrative staff a voluntary departure compensation of 500,000 euros. This program aims to achieve savings of 5 billion euros by 2027.
