Tesla has provided detailed information about its autonomous taxi project without a steering wheel and pedals — Cybercab, as reported by SpeedMe.ru.
Gigacasting equipment is being set up at the Gigafactory plant in Texas, and the images show the front and rear parts being assembled in mass.
Cybercab will be the only model built on Tesla's next-generation platform. Initially, this platform was intended for an affordable electric vehicle, but the company has redirected it solely for the autonomous taxi.
Elon Musk previously stated that this model will not have a steering wheel or pedals. Mass production is planned to start in 2026.
