China's GAC Unveils New Yue 7 Hybrid SUV

At the Beijing International Auto Show, GAC, a major Chinese automaker, presented its new Yue 7 body-on-frame SUV to the public, as reported by Zamin.uz. The company invested over half a billion yuan into the development and production of this model, previously known to industry experts under the codename T75.
Research and engineering work on this hybrid SUV project has been consistently underway since 2024. The name of the new model translates from Chinese as "crossing obstacles." Industry experts note that the number seven in the name was not chosen by chance; it indicates that a family of SUVs of various sizes, such as the Yue 5 and Yue 9, will be created within this series in the future.
Visually, the vehicle stands out with its imposing bumpers, large headlights, and a spare wheel mounted on the rear door. These design solutions highlight the vehicle's capability for serious off-road conditions.
Regarding technical specifications, the GAC Yue 7 features a robust frame construction and a modern parallel hybrid system. A special sensor manufactured by Huawei is installed on the roof, ensuring the precise operation of intelligent control and safety systems.
Additionally, the new model is equipped with an air suspension system, an electric towing hitch, and the latest digital chassis technologies. This allows the driver to experience a high level of comfort and control on any challenging terrain.
During testing, the hybrid SUV successfully demonstrated its high off-road capability on snowy and steep slopes. According to the plan, the vehicle will be officially launched on the Chinese domestic market during 2026.
So far, no official information has been released regarding the export of the new model to other international markets, particularly the Central Asian region. Nevertheless, experts predict that this model will secure a significant position in the global market.
