More than 64 thousand cars were produced in Uzbekistan in two months

It has been observed that production indicators in Uzbekistan's automotive industry have grown significantly during the first two months of the current year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to official data, during January and February 2026, a total of 64,221 passenger cars were produced in our country. The figures provided by the Statistics Agency show that this indicator is almost 6,900 units higher compared to the corresponding period last year.
This growth indicates a high demand on the domestic market and the expansion of production capacities. Looking at the overall composition of the produced cars, the Cobalt model traditionally has the largest share.
During the reporting period, 23,216 units of this model were produced, which makes up about a third of the total volume. This indicator once again confirmed that the Cobalt model is still the most popular and most sought-after among local buyers.
Among the models that took subsequent positions, the Damas marque particularly stands out. During the two months, 12,301 units of this car were produced.
Activity was also observed in the segment of modern crossovers and sedans. In particular, 6,210 units of the Tracker marque and 5,215 units of the Onix model were produced and brought to a state of readiness for delivery to customers.
Other types of models and brands, despite having a relatively smaller share in the production chain, serve to ensure market diversity. At the same time, the number of cars assembled on the basis of foreign brands in our country is also growing.
For example, 4,039 cars were produced under the KIA marque, while in the segment of environmentally friendly vehicles, the BYD brand strengthened its position with a result of 3,165 units. Also, the Haval marque with 2,405 units and the Chery brand with 1,290 units contributed to the overall statistics.
It is particularly worth noting that the production volume of special-type passenger cars also amounted to 6,380 units, which reflects the rapid development of the industry.
