BYD has presented a new electric SUV

Chinese automaker BYD has unveiled its new Great Tang model, which is making a revolutionary impact on the electric transport market, Zamin.uz reports.
This full-size electric SUV boasts a record-breaking driving range and a rapid charging system that has impressed industry experts, according to Ixbt.com.
The new model features a 1,000-volt architecture and BYD Flash Charging technology. This system allows the battery to be charged from 10% to 70% in just five minutes, and up to 97% in nine minutes.
Such speed nearly eliminates the “long charging” problem — one of the key differences between electric vehicles and internal combustion engine cars. Technical capabilities and driving range are offered in two battery capacity variants for the BYD Tang.
The base Premium EV version comes with a 105.79 kWh battery and delivers a range of 800 km under the CLTC cycle. The higher-spec model, named the Flagship EV, is said to travel up to 950 km on a single charge thanks to its 130.15 kWh battery.
The vehicle’s power output is equally impressive: the single-motor version produces 496 horsepower, while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant delivers 784 horsepower. For safety and control, the roof is equipped with a lidar sensor and the God’s Eye B driver assistance system.
It provides autopilot functions and automatic parking. Interior comfort and convenience features offer business-class-level amenities inside the cabin.
The front panel houses three large screens, with a separate display for rear passengers. Seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions are available in a “zero-gravity” format.
The cabin also includes a built-in refrigerator and foldable work tables. In terms of pricing, BYD is undercutting its main competitors.
For example, the Tang Flagship EV with a 950 km range is expected to cost around $40,000, while its primary rival, the Tesla Model X AWD, is nearly twice as expensive at $79,990 and offers a more limited range of 565 km.
Although BYD has not yet announced plans to launch this model in the U.S. market, over 150,000 pre-orders have already been received in China since April.
Given BYD’s strong presence in Uzbekistan’s automotive market, this model is expected to appear on local roads in the near future and generate significant interest.
