«Toyota» and «Nissan» warned about quality defects in US-assembled vehicles

Two giants of the Japanese automotive industry — Toyota and Nissan — have officially warned consumers in their country about specific shortcomings of cars assembled in US plants. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This statement is being viewed as an open admission by the Japanese brands regarding the difference between their overseas production standards and domestic market requirements. The point is that the Toyota Tundra, Toyota Highlander, and Nissan Murano models currently being imported to the Japanese market are assembled in American plants.
In the documents attached to these models, the manufacturers indicated that their assembly quality may differ from the strict standards typical for the Japanese domestic market. Toyota is warning its customers about potential defects in the car body's paint layer.
Specifically, it is stated that cars brought from the USA may have a thinner paint layer, noticeable color differences between various parts, polishing marks, or even small spots. Nevertheless, brand representatives emphasized that these defects are only aesthetic in nature and do not affect technical safety.
Nissan took an even more open position in this regard. The company admitted that the Nissan Murano model may have uneven gaps between parts, sealant marks, and slight deviations in the alignment of body panels.
Such cases are usually considered unacceptable defects for Japanese buyers. In addition to quality, there are also serious limitations in the software of these vehicles.
For example, the road sign recognition system in the Toyota Tundra model may operate with errors within Japan's infrastructure. Furthermore, the multimedia system only supports English, which causes inconvenience for local drivers.
The situation is even more complex in the Nissan Murano model. The interface does not have the Japanese language.
Local radio station frequencies are not supported. The Nissan Connect online services specific to the Japanese market do not work.
This situation has sparked heated discussions among Japanese car enthusiasts and popular media outlets. According to experts, such an open statement from brands like Toyota and Nissan clearly demonstrates the gap between the production culture in the USA and the extremely high requirements of the Japanese domestic market.
These models, especially the Toyota Highlander and Nissan Murano, are also very popular in the Uzbekistan market. When purchasing these cars, which are often brought to our country from the USA or UAE markets, users are advised to take into account the aforementioned assembly quality and software features.
