A new generation of the Hyundai Elantra model has been presented in South Korea

South Korean automotive giant Hyundai has officially unveiled the new generation of its Elantra sedan, one of the brand's most popular models. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The vehicle is a vivid example of the brand's new design philosophy, dubbed "Art of Steel," and stands out with its sharp lines and urban appearance. This refresh promises significant changes not only in exterior design but also in technical capabilities.
According to Autocar.co.uk, the new Elantra has grown considerably compared to its predecessor.
In particular, the wheelbase has been extended by 30 millimeters, making the car even larger than its main rival, the Skoda Octavia. The body width has also increased by 30 millimeters, with the manufacturer emphasizing that the primary focus has been on enhancing interior spaciousness and comfort.
The interior and digital technologies are based on the "smart and comfortable" concept. The dashboard and door panels feature a design that appears to embrace the driver and passenger seats.
Additionally, adjustable LED lighting has been installed in the cabin. The driver-focused display panel is positioned at the top of the dashboard, allowing the driver to monitor speed and other important information without being distracted from the road.
The central section houses a large 12.9- or 14.6-inch touchscreen. The system runs on Hyundai's new ccNC operating platform.
As reported by Autocar, this system enables direct installation of navigation and music apps without the need to connect a smartphone. For the climate control system, traditional buttons and rotary controls have been retained at the bottom of the screen.
Engines and Innovative Features For now, the new model is being offered for the South Korean market with two powertrain options: a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 147 horsepower and a 1.6-liter hybrid unit delivering 155 horsepower.
The hybrid version is equipped with a new intelligent regenerative braking system that analyzes the road ahead and automatically adjusts braking force to optimize battery charging efficiency.
Another interesting feature is the introduction of the "stay mode" in the new Elantra. This function allows the climate control and multimedia systems to be powered from the small auxiliary battery when the vehicle is stationary.
Such a feature is typically found only in large-battery electric vehicles. The new Elantra will go on sale in the South Korean market in the coming weeks.
For now, Hyundai has left open the question of introducing this model to the European market. Additionally, enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the release of the high-performance Elantra N variant.
In the Uzbek market, the Elantra model has traditionally been widely popular and in demand among consumers.
