Hyundai Elantra 8th Generation Officially Unveiled

South Korean automaker Hyundai has officially unveiled the eighth generation of its popular Elantra sedan, one of the brand's best-selling models. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Presented six years after the previous model, the new Elantra differs not only in appearance but also in dimensions and technology from its predecessors. The car now features a larger and more modern look.
The dimensions of the new Elantra bring it closer to the upper class of vehicles. Its length has increased to 4765 mm, and its width to 1855 mm.
The wheelbase has been extended to 2750 mm, contributing to a more spacious cabin. Hyundai engineers emphasize that interior comfort has now reached a level where it can confidently compete with higher-class models.
The exterior design follows the brand's new design philosophy. The front features an enlarged radiator grille and double-layer LED optics that draw attention.
At the rear, a distinctive "H"-shaped thin LED light strip — a signature of the brand — has been installed. Additionally, the new 18-inch wheels and sharply styled side panels give the sedan a sporty appearance.
Inside, significant attention has been paid to digital technologies. The central panel houses a large 14.6-inch touchscreen.
The multimedia system, managed by the Pleos Connect platform, is equipped with an artificial intelligence assistant capable of natural language communication with the driver. However, Hyundai has retained physical buttons for key functions.
For now, the sedan is offered with two powertrain options. One is a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 147 horsepower.
The other is a hybrid system based on a 1.6-liter engine, delivering 155 horsepower. The hybrid modification includes an intelligent recuperation system that improves energy efficiency by taking into account driving direction and route.
Additionally, the climate control and multimedia system can be used even when the engine is off and the vehicle is stationary. Safety has also been given special attention.
The vehicle is equipped with ten airbags, adaptive cruise control, a remote parking assist system, and rear-mounted sensors to aid in reversing. Furthermore, an automatic braking function has been implemented in case of accidental pedal press.
The new Hyundai Elantra is expected to go on sale in South Korea by the end of the year, followed by availability in global markets.
