Yandex Uzbekistan has added the function of showing real-time bus movements to its navigation services for another 11 cities. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Initially, this feature was only available in the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand, but now it can also be used in the cities of Angren, Andijan, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Gulistan, Karshi, Navoi, Namangan, Nukus, Urgench, and Fergana. This innovation makes planning trips much easier, as passengers can track the exact location of the required bus and the time it will arrive at its stop.
Users can find a specific route by knowing the bus number, as well as familiarize themselves with the full schedule and the list of all stops. The services are updated in real-time using sensors installed in vehicles and algorithms that take into account traffic conditions.
The First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mamanbiy Omarov, emphasized the importance of having the ability for every citizen and guest to track public transport movements in convenient applications. The ministry actively supports the implementation of digital solutions, as they make movement in cities more convenient and efficient.
According to Izzat Shukurov, the head of Yandex Uzbekistan, bus movements are currently displayed on 230 routes. The company plans to further develop this feature and make public transport usage even more convenient.
