Artificial intelligence will be implemented for fines in Uzbekistan
New technologies are being implemented in Uzbekistan to address issues related to administrative fines. This was reported by Upl.uz.

This was announced at a recent press conference held by the Road Traffic Safety Service under the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The new system analyzes fines imposed by traffic police officers using artificial intelligence.

Sometimes such fines are imposed incorrectly, leading to discontent among drivers. The main task of the new system is to verify the legality of the fines issued to drivers.

Artificial intelligence helps identify cases of incorrectly imposed fines, such as errors due to incorrect data entry or human factors caused by officers. This process ensures that fines are fair and transparent.

It was emphasized at the press conference that the new technology will reduce contentious cases and increase citizens' trust in law enforcement agencies. According to representatives of the ministry, the system works as follows: information about fines issued by the traffic police is uploaded to a special system.

Artificial intelligence compares this information with recordings from video surveillance cameras and other sources to determine whether the fine is justified or unjustified. If discrepancies are found, the case is sent for further investigation.

This approach reduces the number of errors and simplifies the process for drivers to appeal fines. The implementation of artificial intelligence is part of the digitization program of the activities of internal affairs agencies.

It was stated at the press conference that technologies are currently actively used in areas such as analyzing road traffic conditions and preventing accidents. Now they will also be used to resolve disputes related to administrative fines.

This is especially important because many drivers are complaining about unfair fines that arise due to technical malfunctions or negligence of officers. The video recording system for traffic violations has been developing in Uzbekistan for several years.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in 2024, over 1.5 million violations were detected with the help of cameras, but approximately 10 percent of them were appealed by drivers due to existing errors. This system is currently in the testing phase, and full implementation is planned in the coming months, although specific dates have not yet been announced.

In the future, the use of artificial intelligence will not only help reduce the number of errors but also speed up the process of reviewing complaints. As a result, drivers will be able to appeal fines without spending much time, allowing law enforcement officers to focus on other important tasks.
