Singer Mirjalol Nematov was held administratively liable for copyright infringement. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the poems "Qo‘shni qiz" and "Men turganda" by poet Farhod Muminov were performed by Mirjalol Nematov without the author's consent. This situation was identified and reported by the Society for the Protection of Copyright and Related Rights.
Subsequently, a legal investigation was conducted, and a case was initiated under Article 177¹ of the Code of Administrative Liability. According to the decision of the Uchtepa district court, the singer was fined based on the first part of this article.
Experts consider this situation as a measure to protect the rights of creators and to take strict actions against illegal performances. The protection of copyright is of great importance in Uzbek legislation, and measures must be taken to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.
At the same time, legal relations between creators and performers should be clearly defined and respected. This contributes to the stable development of culture and the arts.
