The issue of suspending the state pension of the famous Russian singer Alla Pugachyova is being seriously discussed. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This proposal was put forward by Sergey Zaytsev, the leader of the "People's Call" movement. He emphasized that Pugachyova, having left Russia and opposing the country's interests, is not entitled to receive financial support from the state.
According to Zaytsev, people who do not recognize Russia and oppose it should not receive material assistance from the state. He questions: "Why should they be supported by the country they criticize?" According to information, 76-year-old Alla Pugachyova currently lives abroad but continues to receive a pension from Russia.
Her pension payments are regularly credited to her bank card. Additionally, financial matters in Russia are handled through trusted representatives.
According to Russian law, changing one's place of residence, being recognized as a "foreign agent," or committing a crime cannot be grounds for depriving a citizen of their pension. Thus, under current legislation, there are no clear legal grounds for suspending pension payments.
Various opinions are being expressed among the public and experts regarding this issue.
