This information was provided by Variety. Apple and the Formula 1 management have signed a five-year streaming partnership agreement worth a total of 750 million dollars.
Under this contract, Apple TV subscribers will have the opportunity to watch all practice sessions, qualifying rounds, sprint races, and Grand Prix live in English and Spanish. Additionally, during the season, some races and practice sessions will be available for free to all users on the Apple TV app.
Representatives of Apple emphasized that this partnership will serve to present Formula 1 broadcasts in a more lively, modern, and engaging way. Both parties believe that the agreement will help shape a new generation of motorsport fans in the United States.
Financial details have not yet been officially announced, but according to a Variety source, Apple will pay an average of 150 million dollars per year. Moreover, the companies have previously collaborated successfully, including the Formula 1 film starring Brad Pitt, which was created as a result of this partnership and became one of the actor's highest-grossing films.
The film's total revenue exceeded 600 million dollars.
