Amazon officially announced the cast of the “Tomb Raider” series

Amazon has officially announced the extended cast for the new series based on “Tomb Raider.” This was reported by Zamin.uz.
For this project, 11 actors were selected at the same time. One of the most notable news is the participation of the famous actress Sigourney Weaver in the project.
Earlier, internal sources had reported this, and now this information has been officially confirmed. Sigourney Weaver will portray the character Evelyn Wallis in the series.
This character is depicted as a mysterious and influential woman interested in Lara Croft’s abilities. Additionally, Jason Isaacs, known to audiences for his role as Lucius Malfoy in the “Harry Potter” films, has also joined the cast.
He will play the role of Atlas de Morne, the protagonist’s uncle, in the series. Other actors involved include Bill Paterson (Butler Winston) and Martin Bobb-Semple (technical assistant Zip).
Moreover, Jack Bannon, Celia Imrie, Jon Heffernan, Paterson Joseph, Sasha Luss, Juliette Motamed, and August Wittgenstein will also bring to life characters specially created for the series. Various opinions about the cast have been expressed on social media.
Some fans speculated that the character played by Sigourney Weaver would be limited to just paving the way. Others criticized the choice of the announced cast.
