Sigurni Weaver stars in the new *Tomb Raider* series

Sigourney Weaver will star in the *Tomb Raider* series being produced by Amazon. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The news was reported by *Variety*. The famous actress will portray the character Evelyn Wallis in the series.

This character is a mysterious and wealthy woman who tries to use Lara Croft's abilities for her own purposes. Jason Isaacs will also participate in the series.

He will play the role of Atlas de Mornay, Lara Croft's uncle. Additionally, Bill Paterson will play the housekeeper Winston, and Martin Bobb-Semple will portray the technical assistant Zip.

The project also features actors such as Jack Bannon, Celia Imrie, Jon Heffernan, Paterson Joseph, Sasha Luss, Juliette Motamed, and August Wittgenstein. All of them will embody new characters specially created for the series.

The lead role of Lara Croft will be played by the famous actress Sophie Turner. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is working on the series' script and executive production.

She is previously known for projects like *Fleabag* and *Killing Eve*. The *Tomb Raider* series is dedicated to the adventures of archaeologist Lara Croft, exploring ancient ruins, solving puzzles, and fighting enemies.

This franchise began in 1996 and has become one of the most famous brands in gaming history.
