The life and heavy losses of Gulchehra Ibragimbekova

There were five children in her family in total, of whom four were girls and one was a boy. The actress's life has been rich in both joyful and sorrowful moments. Within a few years, she was forced to lose her mother, her only brother, her sister and her nephew. These heavy losses left a deep mark on her.
At the age of twenty, the actress married her classmate Turgunbek Ibragimbekov. In their family, one son and two daughters were born. Gulchehra Ibragimbekova's husband taught at the College of Culture, and the actress herself also worked as a teacher at the same college.
Gulchehra Ibragimbekova played roles in dozens of plays and films in theater and cinema. She gained particular fame among audiences for her role as Nazokat in the play "Parvona". This very role made her extremely popular among the people and earned her many fans.
The actress is also remembered by many for her role as the strict mother-in-law in the 2004 film "Begona bahor", directed by Ibrohim Rasulov. Currently, she continues her work at the National Academic Drama Theatre of Uzbekistan. In 2021, the actress solemnly celebrated her 70th anniversary.
