The Michael Jackson biopic, dedicated to the life and creative journey of the pop icon, has achieved tremendous success in the global film industry, according to Zamin.uz.
The film has grossed a total of $977 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing biographical film in cinema history. As a result, it has surpassed the record previously held by Oppenheimer, which dominated box offices last year.
We note that the previous record holder earned $975 million globally. According to data from influential international publications, by the end of June, the film had earned over $607 million outside the United States and more than $370 million domestically.
These figures indicate a sustained and strong public interest in the artist’s persona. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Antoine Fuqua, the biographical drama traces Michael Jackson’s path from childhood to his rise as the King of Pop.
It portrays his early steps with the Jackson 5, joyful and challenging moments in his personal life, and his mastery in commanding the global stage. The lead role is played by Jackson’s own nephew, Jaafar Jackson.
Although this project marks the young actor’s first major step in cinema, specialists and fans alike have praised his precise portrayal of Jackson’s mannerisms, dance style, and voice. Beyond its box office success, the film secures a notable place in contemporary cinematic art through its compelling screenplay and high-quality visual execution.
