
The possibility of installing a monument to the famous Russian poet Sergey Yesenin in Tashkent is actively being discussed. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Russian People's Artist Sergey Bezrukov announced this. He is known for his role as Yesenin in the series of the same name.
According to Bezrukov, despite the difficulties in finding a suitable location, negotiations are progressing to an advanced stage, and sponsors for the project have already been found. The monument is expected to be ceremonially installed in the near future.
The actor emphasized his deep interest in preserving the memory of Sergey Yesenin in the territory of the former Soviet Union. He also mentioned that a museum dedicated to Sergey Yesenin is already operating in Tashkent.
He expressed his satisfaction with the continuation and development of such museums and monuments. Sergey Bezrukov has been active on the theater stage since 1994.
Since 2014, he has been working as the artistic director of the Moscow gubernatorial theater. He has appeared in over 70 films and series and has held the title of People's Artist of Russia since 2008.
Since 2022, he has been teaching his experience to young actors at VGIK. This project and monument aim to further recognize the work and legacy of Sergey Yesenin.
